One of the most negative aspects of a stroke is that it can leave some type of consequence, whether it be physical or psychological. Therefore, it is very important to know the deficiencies that it may produce to be able to fight and overcome them.

  • Deficiency in motor skills: paralysis, difficulty walking, alterations in balance and coordination of movements, limits in performing daily activities, spasticity.

  • Alteration in sensitivity: Alteration in the perception of temperature, of touch, of pain, and the position of extremities.

  • Alterations on the tongue: Total or partial alternations in speaking or understanding (afasia) or difficulty in forming or vocalizing words (disartria).

  • Alterations in deglutition: Difficulties swallowing liquids and /or solids.

  • Alterations in vision: A decrease in the visual camp.

  • Neuropsychological alterations: Problems of memory, reasoning, concentration, recognizing your own body.

  • Alteration in emotions: Difficulty controlling emotions or inadequate emotions.

  • Pain: Produced in alteration in an area of the brain, that is manifested as a mix of unpleasant sensations such as stinging, itching, a pins and needles sensation, and burning, most frequently on the face and extremities, and which worsen with movement and cold.
